Your bib details and wave start time

To avoid congestion on the course, we are sending everyone out in waves of 300 at a time. Each participant will be issued their bib details via email. This email will need to be presented at the event registration tent in Yarra Park to collect your event kit (times below). Please take note of your bib colour and Star Wars character which will match up to your wave start time.

Please note: If you have purchased multiple tickets using one email (Family & Group Bundles) please email us and we will send you the bib details for your group separately. Click here to email us now.

VIP Upgrade

If you purchased a VIP upgrade, you will also receive your bib details on Thursday afternoon via email, however your event kits will be waiting for you in the VIP marquee inside the event village on Saturday 4th May. VIP’s will be given early access to the event village at 4.30pm to have exclusive access to Star Wars characters before gates open at 5pm.

Cosplay and prop rules

If you are coming dressed as you favourite Star Wars character, this is fantastic. However all we ask is that you follow a simple set of cosplay rules to make sure everyone is safe and has an amazing time. Please click below to view these rules before you arrive to the event. Course Activity
Start: 7:30pm: Sent off by Bib group, which you’ll receive at bib collection – Those that nominated as ‘Runners’ are sent off first, followed by ‘Joggers’ and ‘Walkers’ (note all participants are able to go at their preferred pace despite start wave). Last Wave will depart start line by 8:15pm.

Bib Collection

Bib Collection will be located at Yarra Park North (Near Gate 3 MCG – Parkland closest to Jolimont Station & Opposite 128 Wellington Parade, East Melbourne). Please ensure you have a copy of your Eventbrite ticket either printed or on your phone along with your Bib Number to collect your bib. *Please note that you can collect on behalf of other people if you have their bib number.

Parking and Public Transport

Limited parking will be available at Yarra Park and we strongly recommend using Public Transport to reach the event.
The event village is a short walk from Richmond train station. Given the limited parking available, we strongly recommend you plan your journey with PTV’s Journey Planner > Click here to plan now

Bag Drop

There will be a fenced off area managed by volunteers for any large bags. Your race number will be written on a tag which will be attached to your bag. We strongly recommend that no valuables are left in this area and you name all your belongings.

Waves

You will be sent off by bib group, received at bib collection. Please take note of your bib colour and Star Wars character which will match up to your wave start time. Those that nominated as ‘Runners’ will be sent off first at 7:30pm. This will then be followed by ‘Joggers’ and ‘Walkers’ (note all participants are able to go at their preferred pace despite start wave) the last wave will depart Start Line by 8:15pm.

Course Information

  • Public Toilets will be available near Zone 3 of the 5km course.
  • Be sure to keep yourself warm whilst on course and that your bib is visible at all times.
  • Please ensure that there is no rubbish left on course.

As this is an event for the whole family, we are happy to announce we have opened up entires to all ages. We  have a special family package which give 2 adults and 2/3 kids (9 & under) a 20% discount.

Upon ticket purchase, participants will have the opportunity to give back to Star Wars Neon Run’s official charity partner, Magpie Nest, and create a personal fundraising page to raise much-needed funds for people experiencing homelessness in Melbourne.
